Something for Everyone

(Be sure to check back frequently during June & July for updates) Events get rolling at 9:00 a.m. Riverfest has something for everyone.  Stroll through the craft exhibits, take in the energy of live concerts, and enjoy some great summer fare. Most activities are free. Free parking. In addition to the more than 150 crafter booths, the Anoka County Historical Society will step out of the Suburban home and into the garage this year during Riverfest, as they unveil a brand-new exhibit. Join the fun as we travel back to the era of ramblers, tinkering on cars, and lawn darts in our newly constructed garage. ‘Nmotion Dance will provide outside entertainment along with yard games, hopscotch, jump ropes, and sidewalk chalk. Cool off inside with root beer floats and more games. Other exhibits opening during Riverfest include the art of story--Jon Arfstrom and Anoka County Medicine. Stop by the Nowthen Threshing Show display located on 2nd Avenue North just past Jackson Street by the Public Parking Ramp and enjoy the sights and sounds of tractors and steam engines.  Share your stories with the folks from the threshing show and hear stories about their pieces of pride and joy.
